YOU CAN GO FAR WITH WILLING HEARTS

After participating in Jean-Baptiste Charcot's polar expedition, he decided to organize his own voyage to conduct scientific research on the seabed, waterways, and mineral resources. Despite limited financial resources, he found a boat, assembled a crew, and planned to finance the expedition through the sale of seal oil. Departing from Boulogne in September 1907 on an 18-meter ketch, he successfully completed his mission and reached Melbourne in July 1909.
